What You Need to Know About Implementing Composity

Learn what you need to know when evaluating Composity as your software vendor

Hundreds of small and mid-size businesses have already made the move from too complicated and heavy software systems to Composity's cloud business management software. If you are looking for an affordable, but scalable solution to manage your “front” and “back” office, then Composity's products are just for you!

Here is what you need to know when evaluating Composity as your software vendor.

An integrated software - what does it mean?

An integrated software, or software suite, contains different business "modules" or applications in a single program. The user can easily switch from one application to another, without exiting the program.

Composity has 7 business modules that can work either as standalone software or in various combinations, as one system. The applications are integrated around a single database and business process. You have one place where you can manage all operations, such as order management, fulfillment, invoicing, cash collection, inventory management, customer management, lead generation, and many others.

Based on the company size and needs, a business can start with one or two modules and over time choose additional modules and add-ons. A rapidly growing company can quickly progress from single inventory management to using the whole Composity platform - ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), CRM (Customer Relationship Management), eCommerce, and POS (Point of Sale) system, in one place.

What Information Does The Client Need To Provide?

For Composity products to align with the goals of the business, you must provide us with accurate, thorough requirements for what's needed in the software. It's critical to know the client's business requirements before we start talking about anything.

“What problems are you facing?” is another extremely important question. Clients may not always know what is best the solution for their issues. By answering this question, we can determine a more successful route when implementing the system.

How Much Time Does It Take to Set Up Composity?

Setting up Composity is easy. The amount of time it will take to adjust all settings depends on some variables. Technically, the user alone can set up and run the software in less than a few hours. Most of the basic and advanced features are enabled for customization. You can add company billing information, upload or add manually items, customize templates, set various taxes, payments methods, and more.

Some companies have specific business needs and workflow. Our team of business consultants has the knowledge and technical skills to make sure that all customer's requirements are answered. Depending on the complexity, setting up Composity software might take extra hours, up to several days.

The amount of time it will take to set up your Composity platform is calculated based on activated modules, your company’s workflow, and whether there will be data import (and what kind of data is provided).

Can a Third Party Software Be Integrated?

Composity is very powerful business software. The system can be adapted to meet the needs of almost any business. However, it can’t do everything.

Composity technology allows the system to be integrated with almost any other software. Third-party software has already been implemented with Composity, for example, SendGrid, Mandrill, MailChimp, etc.

In case your business is already using other applications and you want to know if they can be integrated with Composity, please send us your inquiry. We'll make the necessary research. If the app has an application program interface (API) or other corresponding technology, communication between the two programs will be possible.

What Are the Steps When Implementing the System?

It's extremely important to understand that putting in place a new system is not just an IT project. The client maintains as much responsibility as the vendor in the project planning process, maintenance of the project plan status, as well as some degree of control over the implementation.

Composity Support Team provides implementation services allocation in three Composity Success Plans. They include premium services by a dedicated consultant and, if needed, a developer. The Success Plans are optional but recommended.

After choosing one of the plans, we will take charge to plan and manage the process of implementation of your new Composity system. This includes:Analyzing your requirements and configuring the chosen modules according to your needs;

  • Historical data migration from your old systems into Composity (if needed);
  • Training classes on how to use the Composity functionalities and features to manage your business;
  • The dedicated consultant will also set up your workflow and make customizations within the program, provided that you selected this option in your Success Plan.

We cover advanced needs, such as custom development, integrations, and ad hoc analysis. Developments and project management services are usually charged per hour/day for our services. To learn more about Composity advanced services, please contact our consultants.

What Happens After the Implementation?

Support

Composity Support Team provides all necessary services to our clients and free users. Depending on the plan you have purchased, you have an included number of pre-support incidents and a defined time for response ( see plans & pricing for more information). All support issues are divided into three levels - Critical Incidents, High Priority Incidents, and Normal Priority Incidents.

Outside the support services included in the pricing plans, Composity offers additional Support Packages. The support packages are designed by the number of hours included and, respectively, the service fee. They include remote control and support, multiple support channels, dedicated support representatives, experienced technical staff, and more.

Maintenance Breaks

The system's maintenance breaks and software updates are free of charge. They are generally scheduled outside of working hours and late in the day. They are necessary to keep the software running smoothly and free of bugs. We announce to our clients any updates and planned maintenance. During this time clients might experience a slowdown or short system unavailability.
