Data Import
Data import in Composity allows you to efficiently add new datasets or update existing records within the system. It ensures your data is accurate and up-to-date by modifying existing entries based on the information you import. This feature supports various types of data, including accounts, tasks, items, contents, and billing information.
Import Definitions
When importing data, you first define the type of data you are importing and how it should be processed. The system provides specific definitions to guide this process. These include:
- Accounts: Import user profiles and account settings.
- Contents: Import documents, media files, or textual data.
- Tasks: Import task-related information such as project tasks or to-do lists.
- Items: Import inventory items, products, or service items.
- Billing Data: Import financial data for billing and invoicing.
- Files: Import various file types containing data to integrate into the system.
Import Templates
To ensure successful data import, it is crucial to use predefined Import Templates. These templates contain the necessary column headers and data structure required by the system.
Important: Always use the appropriate import template for the specific data type you're working with. If the column headers in your data file do not match the format specified in the import template, the import may fail or result in incorrect data being imported.
