Delivery Methods
Adding and managing delivery methods ensures that customers have appropriate shipping options based on their needs and the parameters you define. Follow these steps to configure a new delivery method:
- Name: Provide a descriptive name for the delivery method to make it easily identifiable.
- Status: Indicate whether the delivery method is "Active" (usable) or "Inactive" (not available).
- Integration: Select the relevant integration for the delivery method, such as a third-party shipping service or logistics provider. Choose from the dropdown menu.
- Channel: Specify the sales channel where this delivery method will be offered (e.g., online store, website).
- Cart Weight: Define the applicable weight range for this delivery method to ensure its availability based on the total weight of items in the customer's shopping cart.
- Cart Amount: Set the range of cart values for which the delivery method is applicable. This ensures it applies to orders within specific monetary limits.
- Amount: Enter the delivery cost associated with this method.
- Currency: Select the currency in which the delivery cost is calculated and displayed. Ensure consistency with your pricing and payment systems.
- Priority: Assign a priority level to the delivery method to determine its display order during checkout if multiple options are available.
Regions
Regions help organize geographical areas for delivery, sales, or business operations. Here's how to add a new region:
- Code (Optional): Assign a unique code for the region. Though not mandatory, this aids in easy identification and reference.
- Parent (Optional): If the region is part of a hierarchy, specify its parent region. This is useful for nesting regions within larger areas.
- Type (Optional): Define the type of region, such as a country, state, district, or city.
- Name: Provide a clear and descriptive name for the region, ensuring it accurately represents the geographical area (e.g., a city, state, or country).
- Status: Set the region's status to "Active" (usable) or "Inactive" (not available for use).
