Privacy Statements
At Composity Ltd., we're committed to the confidentiality and security of any personal information and data that you may share with us. We never sell any personal data and keep operations in strict compliance with European privacy laws.
The aim of the changes in this Privacy Policy is to provide our customers with a clearer understanding of how Composity manages all user's data.
General
Composity online services and websites are provided by Composity Ltd. ( “Composity,” “we,” “us,” “our,” or the “Company”). The Company is committed to keeping the confidentiality and privacy of any personal information provided by our customers, individuals who visit our websites and individuals who register to access Company’s services, content or events. This Privacy Policy describes how we gather, use and protect your information, as well as your choices regarding use, access and how to update and correct your personal information.
As a condition to use Composity Services, you consent to the terms of the Privacy Policy Statement as it may be updated periodically.
Information Collected
Account & Contact data
When you register to use our services, subscribe to our newsletter, register for an event, download content or fill in one of our web forms, you voluntarily give us certain information. Composity requires you to provide us with personal contact information, including, but not limited to: name, company name, address, phone number, email and sometimes business sector, company size and interest in Composity. When purchasing our services, Composity may also require you to provide us with financial qualification and billing information, such as billing name and address, and the number of employees within the organization that will be using the services.
We do not store credit card information and we rely on trusted third-party online payments systems, such as Paypal and Stripe for credit card processing, as well as for recurring payment processing.
Composity will have access to third-party personal information provided by you, as a part of your usage of Composity services, such as: users, associated with your workspace and account. This information may include third party names, email addresses and phone numbers.
As otherwise detailed in this Privacy Policy, we will solely process this information to provide you with the service you signed up for or to answer the queries we receive from you. Please refer to our Terms of Service for further details on registering and using the services offered by Composity.
You may cancel your Composity Account and delete your Workspace and/or unsubscribe from receiving content or offers from us at any time. Following termination of your account, we will take reasonable steps to delete your Data as soon as it is practicable. However, we may retain your personal data (in part or in whole) in order to meet any regulatory and reporting requirements for the timeframes stipulated by law and in order to be able to address customer service issues. Any other Data we would have been processing on your behalf, will be deleted permanently within 30 calendar days.
Customer data
When you register for Composity services (for example by creating a Workspace), any information or content you submit or upload into your workspace is entirely your own. This may include any contacts and customers, invoices, orders, emails, pictures, etc. We store and maintain this information on your behalf, in your account at our facilities on servers in different locations. You always retain ownership and control of this data. In order to prevent loss of data, we also keep backup copies of it. Which means that your files and data may remain stored on our servers for some time even after being deleted by your user account or other users you have approved for your Workspace.
Usage details
The company collects services usage statistics. Your usage details such as time, frequency, duration and pattern of use, features used, the amount of storage and records used will be recorded by us. We collect this data in order to help us provide you the best possible services.
Browser data
Composity collects information through the use of well-known technology tools, such as cookies, in order to customize your experience. We automatically detect and store standard information from your Web browser (such as browser type and browser language), your time zone, type of device you use, your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, referring URL, files accessed, errors generated, pages viewed and links clicked, and other visitor details are stored in our log files. Some of this automatically collected data is linked to other information we collect about you. We use the gathered data for statistical and legal purposes.
Use of Information
We need your contact information to perform the services requested. For example, in order to answer your requests, or for billing, or account management reasons - Composity will use the information you have provided.
Your browsing data is automatically recorded and anonymously analyzed in order to maintain and improve our services.
Composity Customer Support Team, client's appointed account manager or our developers may access your data in a limited and reasonable manner, in order to solve any issue with the service, or at your explicit request for support reasons, or as required by law, or to ensure the security of our services in case of violation.
We may also use this information for our own marketing and communication purposes such as sending you information regarding the Company, its services, updates, some information about promotions or events.
Composity partners with third-parties to display advertising on our websites and services or to manage our advertising on other sites. Our third-party partners may use cookies or similar technologies to provide you advertising based on your browsing activities and interests. If you wish to not have this information used for the purpose of serving you interest-based advertising click here, or if you are located in the European Union click here. Please note that this does not turn off generic advertisements on other websites that display advertisements.
Composity may use information collected to improve Composity websites and services.
Access, Update and Remove Your Personal Information (and Other Data Subject Rights)
Upon request, we will provide you with information about whether we hold any of your personal information. You may request to review, correct, update, or delete any of the personal information that you have previously provided to us, by contacting us. Your requests will be addressed within 30 days or less.
We can only identify you via your email address. You have to contact us directly by emailing us at privacy@composity.com and put your request to provide information, if Composity Ltd. has Personal Data about you.
- Access: You can request access to the personal data we hold about you and request a copy of such Personal Data.
- Rectification: If you believe that any Personal Data we are holding about you is incorrect or incomplete, you can request that we correct or supplement such data.
- Erasure: You can request that we erase some or all of your personal data from our systems. Please note that if you request the deletion of information, required to provide the Service to you, your Account will be deactivated and you will lose access to the Service.
Please note that after deleting your personal information, it may take some time for these changes to take effect.
- Portability: You can download a copy of any personal data we are holding about you in a machine-readable format. You can also request that we transmit the data to another controller where technically feasible.
- Consent: We are processing your Personal Data because you have given us your consent, as asked at the time of collection of such data. However, you may withdraw it at any time. Whenever you withdraw your consent, you acknowledge and accept that this may have a negative influence on the quality of the Composity Platform and/or Sites. You further agree that Composity shall not be held liable with respect to any loss and/or damage to your Personal Data if you choose to withdraw consent.
Please note that withdrawing your consent doesn't affect the lawfulness of the processing that was carried out prior to withdrawing it.
- Objection: You can contact us to let us know that you object to the further use or disclosure of your Personal Data for certain purposes, such as for marketing purposes.
- Restriction of Processing: You can ask us to restrict further processing of your Personal Data.
To exercise any of the rights mentioned in this Privacy Policy and/or in the event of questions or comments relating to the use of Personal Data you may contact us at privacy@composity.com.
Also, you have the right to lodge a complaint about Composity's practices with respect to your Personal Data with the supervisory authority in your jurisdiction.
Data Retention
We will retain your Data and personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. All other data as specified above will be retained for as long as is necessary for the purpose(s) for which we originally collected it. We may also retain information as required by law.
If you have subscribed to receive newsletter, marketing and promotional emails from us, we will retain information about your marketing preferences, unless asked specifically to delete such information. Composity retains information derived from cookies and other tracking technologies for a reasonable period of time from the date such information was created.
Sharing of Information Collected
Composity does not share, sell, rent, or trade personal information with third-parties for their promotional purposes. However, we may need to share personal information and your data with other companies that work on Composity’s behalf - affiliates, resellers, service providers and business partners. The purposes for which we may disclose your information or data may include, but are not limited to: data storage, database management, research purposes, web analytics and payment processing. These companies are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services to us.
Please be aware that Composity may be obligated to disclose your user information and the contents of your account if required by law or if we reasonably believe such disclosure is determined to be necessary to protect Composity's rights and/or our users, employees, or the general public.
We will share your personal information with third parties only in the ways that are described in this Privacy Policy Statement.
Opt-out Preferences
Composity will use the email provided in the registration process in order to send a welcome email, onboarding emails, support information, billing and invoice information, news and updates. If you wish to unsubscribe from receiving newsletters and other secondary messages from us, follow the unsubscribe instructions included in every email we send, or contact us. Nonetheless, you will continue to receive essential transactional emails, as long as your services are active.
If you choose to use the invite users feature in your Workspace, we will ask you for your Teammate’s email address. We will automatically send a one-time email inviting the user to use the Service. We will store this information to validate authorized users. Invited users may contact us at privacy@composity.com to request that we remove this information from our database.
Security
We have implemented various measures to ensure the security of your information. Composity applies commercially reasonable security to prevent data loss, alteration, and unauthorized access. Please keep in mind risk can never be eliminated, but all measures we have taken significantly reduce the risk.
Some security measures adopted by Composity include:
- Composity servers are positioned in Germany, Europe on the Contabo infrastructure. All workspaces and databases run inside a Contabo VPC, Virtual Private Cloud. Our client's data is only accessible from the application servers and no outside sources are allowed to connect to the database. Firewalls are in place to block access if any suspicious login activity is detected.
- Composity transmits data from user's browser to our systems using HTTPS. All Data in transfer is encrypted.
- We at Composity do not have access to your Workspace, unless consent is officially given - an admin of the workspace to approve a Composity team member to access as a user, or login details to be provided to a Composity employee to perform support.
- Access to your account information is restricted to our employees, who need such information in connection with providing our services to you. Our employees have signed a confidentiality agreement and are bounded by it.
Composity shall not be held liable by any Third Party, including you, in any event of unauthorized access, use and/or disclosure of information provided, when such is not due to willful misconduct, fraud or bad faith by Composity.
Cookie Policy
Technologies such as cookies, beacons, tags or similar technologies are used by the Company. We used them to analyze trends, administer Composity's sites, aggregate data about sites traffic, track user’s movements and interaction around the site, and to gather demographic information about our user base.
Composity uses cookies to enhance your interactions with our services and websites. When you visit one of our websites, our servers send a cookie to your computer or device. We use temporary and permanent cookies. Temporary cookies exist only during one session. They will disappear from your computer each time you close your browser. Permanent cookies will be stored on your computer even after you close your browser or turn off your computer. We use cookies for remembering users’ settings (e.g. language preference) and information for login (such as your username). If you turned off cookies, you may still have access to Composity's websites, but you may not be able to use some areas and features.
Unless you choose to identify yourself to Composity by responding to us, creating a workspace and an account, filling out a Web form (such as a “Free Consultation”, “Request a Demo”, etc.) or have previously identified yourself to Composity, you remain anonymous to us.
We use third-party services such as Google Analytics and Google Adwords, which may set and use their own cookies to identify visitors and provide their own contextual services.
We do not currently support Do Not Track (“DNT”) signals, as there are no industry standards or regulators for compliance.
Testimonials
On our websites and other company's materials, we display testimonials from satisfied customers. The information contains clients names, companies names, titles and quotes. Composity obtained the consent of each customer prior to posting any information. If you wish to update or delete your testimonial, you can contact us at info@composity.com.
Social Media Widgets
On our blogs and websites, we support third-party social media features and widgets, that allow users to share articles and other information on different platforms. These widgets may collect your IP address, which pages you are visiting on our site, and may set a cookie to enable the features to work correctly. They do not collect or store any personal information from users on our websites. Your interaction with these features is governed by the privacy policy of the company providing it.
Links to 3rd Party Sites
Some pages of our website contain external links. You are advised to verify the privacy practices of such other websites. We are not responsible for the manner of use or misuse of information made available by you to such other websites. We encourage you to carefully read the Privacy Policy Statement of any other website.
Children Protection
Composity's websites, services and contents are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from users who are under 13 years of age.
Policy Updates
Composity reserves the right to change this Privacy Statement. All the changes will be published here. If you continue to use our services after such a change, you agree to our updated policy.
